Provided on 平成三十年三月十五日Heisei san jû nen san gatsu jû go hi, March 15, 2018 (15-03-2018). 2nd. The judgment on the authentic as expressed in the description above was confirmed by “Nippon Bijutsu Tōken Hozon Kyokai” (NBTHK) issuing a 甲種特別貴重刀剣 Kōshu Tokubetsu Kichō tōken certificate: number 15230. Provided on 昭和五十三年五月十四日 Shōwa go shi jû san nen go gatsu jû shi hi, May 14, 1978 (14-05-1978). 3th. 柴田鑑定 Shibata Kantei-sho paper certificate: number 10567. Provided on 昭和五二年十一月二九日 Shōwa go ni nen jû ichi gatsu ni kû hi, November 29, 1977 (29-11-1977). 重光 Shigemitsu is a 別席 Betseki, special class sword-smith. 特徴： 備前長船重光はおそらく応永備前の重光の子供かとも思われる。特に地鉄が良くまた刃紋も互の目乱れに尖って返りが深く、瑕や欠点のない素晴らしい作品です。 Characteristic: Bizen Osafune Shigemitsu 6th gen. is probably a child of Osafune Shigemitsu 5th gen. In particular, the ground iron is good, and the blade pattern is sharp and deep, and it is a wonderful work with no flaws or defects. |

Shigemitsu (重光), 6th gen., Eishō (永正, 1504-1521), Bizen – Bishū Osafune Shigemitsu (備州長船重光), dense itame mixed with komokume,hiro-suguha, chū-suguha, suguha, gunome-midare, ko-midare, wazamono, chūjō-saku. (Information from Markus Sesko) Sword smith 重光六代 Shigemitsu Rokûdai (6th gen.) is from the line 長船景光 Osafune Kagemitsu from the 兼光・長義伝 Kanemitsu- and Chōgi Den/school. His father was 長船重光–五代 Osafune Shigemitsu Godai (5th gen.). |
